Welcome to the 2008 AMSA Northeast Conference
Join us to in the effort to raise student awareness of the many future
crises soon to impact the medical profession.
Specifically, we will focus on the effects that environmental change
will have on health outcomes and on the ways in which financial
considerations can enhance or impair the delivery of healthcare.
We will also investigate the relationship between nutrition and
medicine, the geriatric concerns related to the aging population in
the United States, and the issues facing the medically underserved
globally and nationally.
We hope that conference participants will leave understanding the
complexities of how societal changes are affecting healthcare and
will be empowered and energized to face these issues.
